Physician Referrals
Rehabilitation providers are your partners in medical management and they play important roles in helping your patients regain health after suffering from illnesses or injuries, reducing or avoiding disability, and improving productivity and quality of life.

PTPN practitioners offer your patients a wide variety of services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, hand therapy, and pediatric therapy. Many providers specialize in areas such as pregnancy, geriatrics, and wellness, and have expertise and certification in treating patients with conditions such as lymphedema, incontinence, vestibular disorders, and sensory integration deficits.

PTPN ensures that your patients receive:

  • Access to an extensive network of qualified providers conveniently located near a patient’s home or work. PTPN provides quality outpatient rehabilitative services in over 1,000 locations across the country.
  • Qualified providers who must pass the strictest credentialing standards in the industry—standards that exceed those the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requires of physicians in managed care plans.

  • The highest quality professional care by providers who must have all relevant licenses and Medicare certification, and who must meet strict ratios of support personnel to therapists and patients per treatment team, and much more.
  • Assurance that treatment is appropriate and meets their needs. PTPN peer review committees keep close track of the practice patterns, treatment methods, results, and documentation of its providers. Where needed, case management is provided by experienced rehabilitation therapists.
  • Rehabilitation services covered through their insurance. PTPN contracts with over 400 managed care organizations, including virtually all of the major PPOs, and many HMOs, which means you can be comfortable referring patients to PTPN therapists knowing that their insurance will usually be accepted and patients will receive their preferred provider benefits.
